MareVivo’s environmental awareness goes beyond fishing and aquaculture activities, which are carried out with full respect for the marine habitat.

At every stage of the production chain, we are fully committed to protecting the environment, using technologies designed to reduce waste and managing water, energy, and waste responsibly.

Not only our aquaculture products, but also MareVivo’s land-based facility is certified by Friend of the Sea—the international program promoted by the NGO of the same name, whose primary goal is the protection of the marine ecosystem.

Purification Plant

Our company is equipped with a closed-loop purification system that, thanks to specific technologies, allows the same water to be reused multiple times within the production cycle—after being biologically treated to meet the required quality standards. This significantly reduces water consumption and minimizes waste.

In addition, the installation of solar panels enables us to use renewable energy, which covers approximately 80% of MareVivo’s electricity needs.

The entire production facility complies with both national and EU regulations.
